After 5 sessions in as many days I was hoping for a day off, so had a bit of a lay-in, did my exercises in the sunny back garden, then with HHA (Landguard live wind) still playing up, you can still only get one reading and then the page wont refresh, very annoying! I decided to drive down to The Manor to check and with 15 mph from the south I went home to get my gear. I arrived at Squiz Lane at one and parking was tight, I put my trailer by the bins so don’t take up a parking space, some humpty in a camper had taken up two spots in the corner by the flood gate, very inconsiderate especially over a busy weekend but I managed to park OK so quickly set up my foil board as a kite surfer heads out, a rare sight here at The Manor as a huge container ship heads in! I rigged my 6.5 again but by the time I have my shortie on the wind has definitely eased and the kitesurfer is disappearing downwind struggling to get going. A winger turns up but decides against going out. I am ready to go but it looks light so sit on the beach and chat with Jerry and family. Another winger heads out and is flying so I decide to give it a go! I manage to get flying after a few pumps and end up doing 7 long mile and a half runs out, it was light at times but it was really good when flying! The wind then turns WSW slightly off but I do a few more runs before calling it a day. It was hard getting back with the wind light of off, also high tide with a couple of sea fisherman setting up in the middle of my landing groyne but I got back OK so not too bad a session, a bit of a bonus! I left Mag in the garden just about to play with her new toy, a mini chain saw, she was still in the garden hours later with a huge pile of our hedge gone, she loved it and can't wait to cut some more, I counted all her fingers and luckily they were still all there!
